Civil Aviation authorities yesterday revoked the licence of a SriLankan Airlines flight captain after it was revealed that the man was a fake, a top official said. Civil Aviation Director General Parakrama Dissanayake said the pilot, a German national, had gained employment with the airlines, producing cleverly-doctored documents.
He said the decision to revoke the licence was taken after Sri Lankan Airline submitted clear evidence which suggested that the suspect had forged documents regarding his qualifications and experience.
Mr. Dissanayake said the man was later summoned to the Civil Aviation Authority office for an inquiry conducted by senior flight officers. It was thereafter decided to revoke the license with immediate effect.
The German national joined the national carrier in 2007 and had piloted flights to various capitals, risking the lives of thousands of passengers and crew as well as many others on the ground, SriLankan Airlines sources said. They said the suspect had not only possessed a forged pilot license but also carried three different passports.
It has now been revealed that the man was not a qualified airline captain but a low ranking flight officer and not eligible to pilot an Airbus A 340.
During his stay with SriLankan Airlines he had flown the Airbus A 340 that touched down in many busy airports such as Heathrow, Frankfurt, Paris and Dubai, the sources said.
Looking at some exhaust parts and I was wondering what would be louder, an H-Pipe or a X-Pipe? I'm going for some SLP Loudmouth II exhaust pipes and hopefully something that will shake the cars around me when I'm sitting at a red light. Other exhaust combinations that may be good for this type of application would be appreciated also, although I'm pretty well set on the SLP LM II's
I'd go with the H pipe if sound is all your worried about. The Xpipes I've heard all seem to crackle when you get out of the throttle. Kinda a tinny sound from under the car. To be honest with you, your best bet is to go to the different web sites and listen to the sound bytes. Other than that, go to a car show, find someone with an 03-04 Mustang with an aftermarket exhaust you like the sound of and ask them what they run. I'll tell you from experience that a really loud exhaust can get old quick if you really like your music. Other companies you might want to look at are Bassani (my favorite), Magnaflow, Borla, and Flowmaster.

I'd replace the spark plug first, if still missing remove and clean the carb throroughly with carb cleaner. Don't use wire to poke out crud from small orfices because you'll damage them. Use heavy fishing line, broom straw, toothpick, etc.
cat Ext should horses always have water available?
This may sound like a silly question but I know for all of my other pets cats, dogs, hamsters, ext.. their should always be fresh water available to them but at the stable I ride at whenever the horses are done a lesson or just in their stall theirs never any water in the water bucket. When I ask the staff if they want me to fill up the buckets because the horses often try to drink but theirs nothing there they just say no. Are horses suppose to have water all the time? because to me this seems a little cruel. Help =]!
most of the time a bucket of water should be available but it's dangerous to give them too much at one time they can chug the water and that's not good for them. if they are over heated or sick or for some other reason cannot have constant water then that's understandable.
but yes full grown horses should have a gallon of water at least available at all times. for a horse doing heavy riding or lots of exercise in general only a little more than a gallon should be provided at a time tho that should be refilled whenever emptied. for horses that are calm and at stall more often a larger water trough should be provided.
the only problem is that a thirsty horse will often drink too much water to fast and that can really hurt them. often for heavily worked horses a smaller amount at a time is provided but refilled constantly. that gives them lots of water but doesn't allow for too much at once.
for horses at oasture say or on stall rest a larger tub of water is prvided to allow for drinking whenever the horse desires and as much as they want.
bottom line there should always be water available to a horse even if it is offered smaller amounts at a time.
to find out why they don't always refill the buckets inquire politely. smile and say very carefully that you just don't understand why there isn't water in the stalls. you don't know maybe they do get enough and the horses just have a habit of spilling the water all over. at a barn i know they let the horses out to pasture almost all day and there is water there because the buckets weren't fastened to the wall or the ground so the horses would knock them over or spill them on the clean bedding. that makes for a hell of a cleaning job.
some places don't give a horse water right away to prevent them from chugging the water. when you ask don't use an accusing tone the best bet is to just sound curious. that way you won't offend and they will be much more inclined to explain it to you.
