Oil Coolant At what temp do i need to worry about my oil/coolant freezing?
I live in northern Michigan, an its going to get around -20 in 3 days. Do i need to worry about my oil or coolant freezing? What about my transfercase fluid and differential fluid?
also -20F , not C
A fifty- fifty mix of antifreeze, propylene or ethylene glycol, will freeze at about -60 F.
Fluid in axles and transfer cases is usually gear oil, it will get thick when cold but a few miles of driving will take care of that. BTW, you can idle a car all day and it won't effect the gear oil since they aren't moving.
Automatic transmission fluid will thicken up a little in the cold, but it heats up with idling and driving. manual transmissions start to warm up when you start the car, since the shafts are spinning.
Just start slow for the first few miles and you should be fine.
Pro Voltage Do I need to change my New Macbook Pro voltage?
Hello,
I have just purchased a new Macbook Pro from the U.S and I have traveled to the middle east to do some work. The voltage here is 220V while in it's 110V in the US. My question is should I buy any voltage changers or something? or the product is dual voltage ??
Thanks,
Apple has always made Dual Voltage. Check the manual or the computer and see if there's a switch, if not then it's automatic. BTW, you bought the BEST computer on the Planet.
my carburetors on my snowmobile are gummed up what is the best way to clean them
Use spray on carb cleaner. Wipe off with a rag. If it is too gummy, you will need to fully disassemble it and clean it that way. Get a rebuild kit while you are at it.
