Arctic Cat Snowmobile Belts
snowmobile lost power and has a knock?
i have a 2001 arctic cat thundercat 1000cc. my brother got it stuck in a snowbank and gave it hell trying to get out. i have half the power it shakes and makes a knocking sound when its being driven. it doesnt do it at an idle. i changed the plugs and i am still getting spark. belt is good. had some people look at it and no one can figure out what it is.
Check the bearings on the driveshaft and the driveshaft itself, to me it sounds like it could be it. If a bearing broke you would have a little bit of power, but definitely not full power. Also the bearing might of had pieces fall out, so that would mean the driveshaft is knocking around. To check it lift the back end of the snowmobile up as high as you can. Look at the shaft that is closest to the engine, to find the driveshaft.

Replacing Belt - 2010 Arctic Cat Crossfire 600 Snowmobile
What can i do to my snowmobile to make it go even faster ?
I have a ZR 600 (arctic cat) i put a new can on it and also intensified the speed by the belt is there any other easy things i can do to make it go faster.
I also hav a newly studded track, and newer carbindes. Its liqued cooled. so any ideas or feedback would be grate. I am going to race it for fun the year on the ice. So it sgood already, ya ill b bet sometimes but its manily fast enough for me right now,lol.

You should work on clutching and gearing, Talk to people at races for advice on track conditions and what set-up to use. Most racers are more that willing to help. Also if you have carbs, jetting is a big hp getter.
