CRX and EF switchovers?

I had a honda CRX 1991, but I was in an accident and now the front of the car is wrecked. They recently I bought a honda EF 1990 and I was hoping on switching over some of the interior stuff from my CRX over to the EF.
"CRX = Automatic"
"EF = Manual"
Planning to switch over stuff from the CRX.
1) Gauge Cluster (since my EF doesn't have a RPM meter)
2) Center Console (my EF doesnt have a center console, only carpeting around the shifter. -__- )
3) Stereo <- Its possible to switch it, but I don't know how to. :
4) Steering Wheel

Do you think its possible to switch #1-2 from auto CRX to a manual EF?

Yes.. I know I've downgraded cars =(

I know you can change the cluster the steering wheel and the stereo im not sure about the console but you can try.

rpm gauge in 1999 civic si?

hey i have a 1999 civic si with a JDM swap in it. well anyways everytime i puch it and drive it fast, my rpm gauge ends up acting all whacky. well my car is pushing around 200 hp and everytime i shift into second, my car chirps really hard( sometimes even the center console comes out a few inches) it probably chirps hard because the power my car has and i also have a racing flywheel. well anyways after like 5 min the rpm gauge goes back to normal. can you please tell me why it does that???

typically when the needle on the tachometer (rpm gauge) bounces around, particularly when the car is under acceleration its because the ignition coil is breaking down. The rpm signal comes from the igintion coil and if the coil is breaking down internally the tachometer will reflect that.

the ignition coil is a step transmformer that ramps up the 12 volts from the battery/alternator to over 30,000 volts. it is a coil of wire that is submerged in oil. if the coil is shorting out internally you'll wind up with a lower voltage spark, particularly when the engine is at higher rpm or under load when the coil doesn't have time to recharge between firings of the spark plug.

i'd recommend you first check the connections on the igniton coil. if they are okay, then change the coil. its relatively inexpensive on that car.

hope that helps
