Heated Grip does anyone know if a klr 650 will operate a gerbing heated jacket liner and or heated grips?
i just boght a new 2008 klr 650 i would like to use my old gerbing jacket liner but the jacket is suposed to use 77w and the book says the klr only puts out 44 for everything thanks
I'm researching KLR650's for myself and just came across this answer to your question, at a great site from a rider in Colorado. The answer is yes, the gerbing equipment can be powered by an unmodified KLR electrical system.

heated grips
Do heated hand grips actually keep your fingers warm in -3 degrees (@110km/hr) or would I need heated gloves?
I have spent the last two winters riding to work at 6am with frozen fingers and am sick of it. I just don't know if hand grips would actually work or not.
I put in a vote for heated gloves.
I have a pair of Gerbings gloves. I have used them for the past several years and they are so dam nice. It gets down to around 30F/ -2C around here, the gloves keep my fingers toasty. They are much much warmer than heated hand grips. Worth every penny.
