Towing a Front Wheel Drive Manual Transmission?
I was going to rent a tow dolly and lift the two front wheels off the ground to tow the car a long distance. Will this be sufficient or do I need to disconnect something under the hood?
Put it up on the tow dolly, put the vehicle in neutral, put the tow chains on it, and away you go.

How (or a good way) to tow your car?
I am moving from Florida to Illinois in a month. I have too many things and am going to be renting the 17' truck from Uhaul. My wife will be driving my SUV and I will be towing her 2003 Corolla.
My question: Uhaul provides two alternative to tow the vehicle. One is a TOW DOLLY which just lifts up the two from tires and lets the back ones stay on the road. The other option is a full 'AUTO TRANSPORT' which is a bed on which the vehicle towed sits on--all four wheels off the ground.
Is there a real difference between the two besides 1000 miles of wear and tear on my back tires? Is there something I should know when making a choice?
The carolla is front wheel drive,
you can use a tow dolly for that and not tow the extra weight behind you.
BUT YOU CAN NOT BACK UP !!
you will need to make sure that you don't
get into a situation where you need to back up,cant do that with a dolly.
