what if the main jet mas a little bigger then it should b?
what makes it get the gas if the jet only kicks in when the throttle is wide open that don't make sense
The main jet does allow the fuel to enter the carburetor, but it is metered by the pilot jet, throttle valve and the needle jet. If the main jet is too big, the engine will run too rich at WOT (wide open throttle).
Pilot Jet-----------------0-1/4 throttle opening
Throttle Valve---------1/8-3/8 throttle opening
Needle Jet-------------1/8-5/8 throttle opening
Jet Needle-------------3/8-7/8 throttle opening
Main Jet----------------7/8-8/8 throttle opening
Even if the main jet is too big, the fuel is still restricted by the other jets, needle and throttle valve. If the sled won't run at idle, the the pilot jet/circuit is plugged.

How would you cook baby back ribs on a propane grill?
Hello. My birthday was last weekend and I got a three- jet propane grill for my main present. I've already used it to cook some burgers and dogs for my party guests, but I also got two racks of baby back pork ribs to cook.
Does anyone have any grilling recipes for this particular cut of meat that would taste especially good when prepared on a gas grill? Don't spare the details on things like marinades, spices, etc. I look forward to your suggestions.
