What snowmobile helmet is comparable to the skidoo modular helmet?
I am looking for a good snowmobile helmet and the best one I have had is the Skidoo modular but I gave it to my dad because I now ride Polaris. Any suggestions?
HJC and many other manufacturers make a modular helmet. You can still use a Skidoo modular while riding a Polaris. My brother does it. He likes the helmet, so he just took off the decals. You can find more helmets at DennisKirk.com or ShadetreePowersports.com.

Recreational Vehicles Need Vehicle Covers Too
Spring is here and summer is around the corner. Time to put the snowmobiles up for the season and get the boats, jet ski's or RV's ready for summer fun. The summer environment can be harsh on your recreational vehicle. Why let tree sap, pollen or thunderstorm hail ruin the finish when you can protect it with a quality vehicle cover ? Even if you store your winter fun mobiles in a garage, dust and dirt can settle and take a toll on the finish.
Scenario: You are ready to hit the lake, the boat is dirty and full of branches, bird droppings and leaves. Now, before you can hit the water you need to spend some time cleaning this mess up. Had you covered your boat with a quality vehicle cover, all you would have to do is remove the cover and back her down the boat ramp into the lake.
Not only does the detritus that can fall into and on the boat cause potential damage but the snow and ice that falls and melts and falls again throughout the winter can get into small crevices and expand and retract causing cracks, not to mention fading. Had you covered your boat, jet ski or skidoo, none of this would happen and the brand new look would be preserved, not to mention the value.
There are numerous covers on the market today and which one is right for you depends on where the vehicle is stored. If you live in the Southwest, a simple two layer cover should suffice, unless you live in the higher elevations that still have four seasons. Those who store their vehicles outdoors and have cold snowy winters would want to consider a three to four layer cover for ultimate protection. If you live in a high rain area, a Tyvek cover is best for the ultimate waterproof protection it provides.
When you have made the decision to purchase a vehicle cover I recommend purchasing on the Internet as you will find the best pricing and selection. Just do a search for boat cover, jet ski cover, snowmobile cove etc. and the choices will be plentiful. Be sure to shop around as some companies offer free shipping some do not. You will also want to ensure you order the correct size. Most sites have a sizing section to assist in assuring you pick the right one. Return policies vary as well so do your homework, it will be worth it in the end.
Although snow and ice are not a factor during the summer, dust, debris, tree sap, bird droppings, hail and the UV rays of the sun certainly are so whether you cover your boat between use or your winter recreational vehicles to keep them safe until the next season, a vehicle cover is a must.
