Belt Cover Running sebring v6 without rear upper timing belt cover?
Is this safe??? The cover is broken and was rubbing the cam gear after the engine heated up. I figured taking it off may expose it to dirt, but leaving it on was definitely going to damage it. I really do not feel like forking over $100 for a new one.
It is there to keep dirt and debris from wearing the cam belt. If you drive on paved roads and keep your under hood area clean, then you should be OK.
The black paint on my ACU belt is chipping off. Any quick fixes to cover the metal spots?
I have tried nail polish and sharpie, but they are too reflective. I need something flat that will match the paint that is on the buckle. I'd rather fix it up than throw it away.
It sounds like you need some flat black touchup paint. You can get a touchup pen like the one at http://www.micro-tools.com/store/item_detail.aspx?ItemCode=15102-F or a small bottle like this one at http://www.micro-tools.com/store/item_detail.aspx?ItemCode=CF3-F .
You should be able to find similar paint at a model or hobby shop. Auto parts stores should carry flat black trim paint in a spray can and possibly in a small touchup bottle or tube.
Drive Belts I have a '98 Mitsubishi Galant, and it won't start. I start the engine, all the drive belts rotates backwards.
Instead of going fowards it rotates backwards. (The drive belts are on the driver's side)
if the drive belts are on the drivers side of the engine compartment, then the belts will rotate from the front of the engine compartment to the rear. it may look backwards but it is the right direction, your just not used to seeing it move that way because most vehicles have the engines facing the other way. its normal. as for the no start we need more info to help you. whats it doing? did you check for spark? is the gas?
Car Maintenance and Repair Tips : When to Replace Car Engine Drive Belts
Replaced your drive belt on your Scooter, but it still doesn't run?
When we change our belts, in most cases, the front clutch internally falls apart. Now don’t feel stressed, as it only takes two minutes to fix it. Anytime a belt comes off, breaks or is being replaced, we need to realize with the belt gone, the front clutch has no pressure on it to stay intact, so they fall apart internally. With all this talk about clutches falling apart, we might throw up our hands and say “forget it, just take it to the shop”. Well, don’t. You can do this, it’s easy. If you can change a belt on a car, you can do it on a scooter. All there is to do is the following:
Remove the cover plate (which has to come off to replace the belt anyways)
Unscrew/Unbolt the Front Clutch (takes one minute)
You will see in the Clutch that all the rollers are all mixed up. Simply separate the clutch and put the rollers back in their slots (one minute). Poof... you are done. That was easy.
A note of caution: You must hold the clutch together while putting it back in and keep pressure on it so the rollers don’t come loose while you are putting the belt back on.
See how easy that was? Scooters seem difficult. I felt the same way. I owned a scooter before having a repair shop and was very intimidated. I took out the seat and saw all the wires and hoses and decided it wasn’t for me. After having a repair shop for just a few months, I look back now at how afraid I let myself become, when it wasn’t necessary. These scooters are easy to fix now. Belts and Clutches are easy. I can do a repair in 15-minutes and send you on your way. Trust yourself, it’s mostly just common sense. If you need a belt (or even a new clutch), visit ScooterStock.com.

Cover Kit How easy is it to replace the valve cover?
I bought some kit for my car its a 2001 Ford Winstar. It has a check engine problem not directly related with the valve cover but it was in this kit anyways. The valve cover has a 4 screws and a gasket, are any special tools needed or adhesives? As far as i can see nothing is attached on the inside of the gasket. The car is 8 years old and i wanted to get some preventive maintenance done now that i am working under the hood.
glues are not needed but in some situations it can make it easier to keep the gasket in place while you drop the valve cover in place. DO NOT use a cork gasket, they always leak after a short while. the rubber gaskets work very well. no special tools are needed, just make sure that the valve cover and head are very clean (where the gasket sits), any foreign or remaining material will cause a leak also.
Sephora Brand Buildable Cover Complexion Kit..is it any good?
I was going to try Bare Minerals, but it just seems way too expensive for me. I came across this Sephora brand product online, and it looks pretty good.
It comes with primer, concealer, mineral powder foundation, and two brushes.
If you have it, or if you have tried it, how do you like it??
Is is long lasting?
Does it have good coverage?
Is it quick and easy to apply?
Does it get/look cakey?
Does it look natural?
Does it blend well?
Thank you!!
I think this is a good starter kit. I didn't end up keeping it because I'm IN LOVE with my bare minerals. IN LOVE. I don't even know why I try other foundations...there's nothing w rong with what I'm using o_o hahah.
But this is a pretty good set, I love sephora and most of their brand products are actually decent. However the powder foundation is not pure mineral, it has a lot of gunk regular makeup has. Looked pretty natural on me but the color matched me really well. Good thing about sephora is if it doesnt work out even if you used it, they will take it back. I'd say try it, it's a good price (I think it was 34? I dont really remember lol) and comes wiht what you need.
