Snowmobile problem..Artic Cat?

My sled cuts out when I'm riding it..its like it doesnt get fuel for a second then it gets it right back..it happens alot like 5-6 times per 1hour...Its a 99 zl600 fuel injected.any ideas?

Sounds to me like you have a short in a wire somewhere. I would start by checking the kill switches on the handle bars. I have seen these go bad several times. One way to eliminate that is to pull the wires loose from this switch. If your remove the handle bar pad, there should be a connection there to unplug. Then go take it for a ride and see if the problem is solved. if so, time to buy a new switch.

If that dont do anything, then i would start to check for wires that are rubbed tot he wire. The way you explain it, it has to be electrical.

How do you change the belt on a 2006 Artic Cat 700 Crossfire snowmobile?

Twist the back half of the secondary clutch (clutch not on engine) while pushing on the front half. This should allow the belt to drop down into to secondary clutch. By moving the belt lower in the secondary, the belt will start to have more slack in it at the primary clutch. Continue twisting and pushing the the secondary clutch halves until there is enough slack to get the belt off the primary clutch (clutch on engine).
