Artic Cat Snowmobile 1995 artic cat snowmobile is running rough?
When i start my snowmobile it runs rough. Like maybe water in the gas. I cleaned the carborator twice the best i could." one carb two cylinders" Checked for spark on both plugs. at full throttle it runs just above an idle let off the gas and it stalls. it sounds too me a cylinder is cutting out out but plugs are firing. it ran fine when i shut it off. started it up an hr later and this is what i got. Maybe its still got junk in the carb?? Any suggestions?
I also added a can of dry gas as well.. forgot too mention that
and its a puma 340 f/c
The nut on the choke adjustment vibrated up on it causing the choke to stay on.. lol Thank you for all the answer's they gave me the idea too check that nut adjustment. Now i can get the kids off the video games shove em outside and they can have some real fun.
Not knowing what engine is in it kind of hampers me to answer this, but a lot of the Arctic cat fuel pumps would go soft after 2-3000 miles. Just a thought, but they are re-buildable. When the pumps go soft, they wont build pressure. It will make the engine act like it is getting crappy gas, or not enough gas.
Used Ski Doo Snowmobiles Questions on old snowmobile?
I have a 1979 ski-doo blizzard 5500 that I inherited from my uncle. I know that it requires mixed fuel. My question is what type of fuel and oil do I need to use?
On any 2 Stroke motor you should be using premium gas for sure, check the oil mixture you will need for it, it should say if it has a specification chart, or on the gas tank maybe. most sleds nowadays that need premixing are 32:1 mixture which means 32 parts of gasoline per 1 part of oil, so if your tank holds 8 gallons you need to mix in 1 quart. as for the oil you need to use, any 2 stroke motor oil should work, go to your local store and look for the oil, read the back of the carton and make sure it will work for you. hope this helped!
