Brake Caliper What's the best way to get a front brake caliper on my MC to release and stay released?
It's a 1984 honda G/W. I've tried bleeeding them. I've used a brake line pump on it. Don't want to spend an arm & a leg on it, because I hope to buy a new MC maybe next year. I've had lots of "super mechanics" tell me how easy it is to fix it, but none of them ever show up in my garage. It has 2 brake line system on it, and maybe I'm over looking something. Once the brakes are bled, and the caliper releases, it will lock up again as soon as I apply the brakes. Anybody think they can help? Thanks.

Answers On Painting Brake Calipers
Painting brake calipers is a great way to add some extra integrity to a vehicle. Nothing shows off a set of nice rims and tires like mint painted brake calipers. There are a lot of ways to do so when it comes to painting brake calipers. Let's take a stab at some of the most common questions and answers.
How much money does it cost to paint my brake calipers?
Depending on what type of final product you desire, you could spend anywhere from a couple of dollars to a hundred dollars. What it comes down to most, is how picky one is with the outcome. If you have rims with a bigger gap in between the rims than normal and you really want to show boat your calipers, then you may put more time into it.
Materials is a big deal too. How much money do you want to drop on paint and what type of paint do you want to go with. Do you want the cheapest primer or the best filler primer to hide more blemishes? Just like anything else, there are tons of variables that come into play when buying this stuff.
How hard is this project as a do it yourself?
In my opinion, this is a perfect do it yourself project. Painting brake calipers couldn't be any harder than just spray painting anything else really. The hardest part is literally taking off things to get to the calipers then possibly removing them if that's what you desire.
How much time should I set aside to paint the calipers?
Depending on your vehicle make and what type of setup you having going, this could be an all day project or just an hour deal. This is a tough question to answer since there are so many different variables in the project.

Brake Handle Caliper How do you bleed the brakes on a motorbike?
My Son has a motorbike the front breaks where jamed so i loosend the nipple on the caliper and they freed. now I cant bleed them. There seems to be a resavuor by the brake handle and on there is a little screw where it says bleed and fill here. What is the procedure for bleeding these type of brakes?
Get a brake bleeder kit at you local automotive store and attach hose to caliper bleeder , Keep bleeding via bleeder until master has fluid in it and you don't notice any air in the master.
Then just top off to required height.
Otherwise you'll need to fill master and squeeze brake lever approximately 3-4 times, while holding break lever. Have some one crack the bleeder at the caliper . Repeat procedure until all air is out.
I found the easiest way is the back bleeding method.
Better airflow leads to better fuel combustion. Better fuel combustion results to more horsepower. More horsepower means a satisfying driving performance. A General Motor engine part that promotes more leverage for airflow in the engine's combustion chamber is the GM Throttle Body Spacer, which also adds 20 percent in the horsepower of a GM vehicle, depending on the model.
A typical GM Throttle Body Spacer contains gaskets and precision brackets to maintain the proper positioning of the throttle and the cruise control geometry. Installation of a GM Throttle Body Spacer is simple, lasting for only 30 minutes and needs no drilling nor cutting. It is designed to improve the auto’s throttle response and is actually aimed at giving faster velocity to the airflow going through the intake manifold. As a result, more air is supplied in the combustion chamber. Improved overall fuel efficiency is thus, possible.
Improved fuel efficiency, however, will come to naught if the brake system does not work properly. A sound braking system consists of several vital components and crucial parts, like a disc brake, which is responsible for stopping or slowing up the rotation of the wheel. Disc brakes though, are broken though in several smaller parts---the brake caliper, brake pads, and brake rotor.
How does the disc brake work? In GM vehicles, for instance, as the brake pedal is hit, the GM brake caliper holds the GM Brake Rotor with the brake pedal to generate heat through friction. As a result, the vehicle's movement comes to a halt. Excessive use of brake will eventually wear out the brake pads quicker and when it occurs, replacement of brake pads will require the GM brake rotor to undergone machine cut to restore its dexterity.
For the GM brake rotor to last, it must maintain the ideal thickness that could stand the intense heat produced whenever the brake pedal is hit. When the point comes that the rotor is not thick enough to handle the temperature, a replacement is needed immediately to avoid further damage on the disc brakes.
