Brake Caliper
What's the best way to get a front brake caliper on my MC to release and stay released?
It's a 1984 honda G/W. I've tried bleeeding them. I've used a brake line pump on it. Don't want to spend an arm & a leg on it, because I hope to buy a new MC maybe next year. I've had lots of "super mechanics" tell me how easy it is to fix it, but none of them ever show up in my garage.It has 2 brake line system on it, and maybe I'm over looking something. Once the brakes are bled, and the caliper releases, it will lock up again as soon as I apply the brakes. Anybody think they can help? Thanks.

Painting brake calipers is a great way to add some extra integrity to a vehicle. Nothing shows off a set of nice rims and tires like mint painted brake calipers. There are a lot of ways to do so when it comes to painting brake calipers. Let's take a stab at some of the most common questions and answers.
How much money does it cost to paint my brake calipers?
Depending on what type of final product you desire, you could spend anywhere from a couple of dollars to a hundred dollars. What it comes down to most, is how picky one is with the outcome. If you have rims with a bigger gap in between the rims than normal and you really want to show boat your calipers, then you may put more time into it.
Materials is a big deal too. How much money do you want to drop on paint and what type of paint do you want to go with. Do you want the cheapest primer or the best filler primer to hide more blemishes? Just like anything else, there are tons of variables that come into play when buying this stuff.
How hard is this project as a do it yourself?
In my opinion, this is a perfect do it yourself project. Painting brake calipers couldn't be any harder than just spray painting anything else really. The hardest part is literally taking off things to get to the calipers then possibly removing them if that's what you desire.
How much time should I set aside to paint the calipers?
Depending on your vehicle make and what type of setup you having going, this could be an all day project or just an hour deal. This is a tough question to answer since there are so many different variables in the project.
