Cover yamaha i have a 1981 xs650 do you have to remove head pipes and muffers to remove right side clutch cover?
i have a new clutch side cover i want to put on do i have to remove pipes and muffers to do this.1981 xs 650 yamaha also is it hard to change the tack gears the new one dosnt have them thanks for your time.
you dont have to take down the pipes but disconnect them and and support them and it will save u all the hasle of unistalling and installing its a pretty hard job but if u know what your doing you wont have any problems so good luck
How do I remove my motorcycles engine's valve cover?
The hex bolts keeping the valve cover on are too tight, or stripped. I already stripped my hex key trying to get this one difficult one off, which I stripped at the same time. The engine is a yamaha 650 in line 4, and my brother pulled it off his 1982 Seca. I have very few tools, and I need the bolt off.
I don't have an easy out. The block is also aluminum.
buy an impact driver.. $20 will get the bolts out..
or cut the hex key about 1 inch long.. put it in the bolt.. tap the hex key whilst turning it with a spanner.. ( this is very similar to the impact driver )

How do I remove the plastic engine cover on a 2003 VW Golf? Standard 2.0 L engine. No turbo. I've read there are a couple of screws and then just pull up to pop it off. I want to be sure I've loosened everything before I pull it upwards. Anyone got a checklist? Thanks in advance.
Simply remove the four screws and remove the cover.

Cobalt Ecotec engine cover cause too much heat?
My question is refering to the plastic cover on the ecotec engine. Does this cover trap too much heat? would it be better to take it off? Finally, whats the point of it even being on there?

The cover is designed for the motor with heat factors figured in. It's purpose is 2 twofold.
1. Protect hot engine parts from cold oil bring poured into the oil fill
2. Protect humans from melting skin when accidental contact is made.

Yes, this cover will work with your bike. The time frame they listed is wrong as in 2007, all the big twins utilized the cruise drive transmission as did the 06 dyna's. So it'll fill all bikes from 87-06 ( except 06 dyna ). Hope this helps.

This will just give you more coverage. My mother is a hairdresser and i have always had her do my hair--and now i'm in college and dye my hair on my own--when my hair was shorter i could use one box but now it is longer and my mother said to use two boxes--it doesn't change the color, it just gives you the even coverage all over that you need!
