This is on a 3 cylinder diesel tractor. Manifold goes to an upright muffler, the muffler has an extension with a rain cap. The extension goes into the outlet tube of the muffler, and the outlet tube has a clamp. Rainwater goes into the crack. The extension tube should slide over and around the outlet tube of the muffler, but that's not the way this tractor is.
Is there an RTV kind of sealant that I can use to seal the crack? I tried epoxy, but it cracked after a few years. It's kind of thin tubing, and I tend to burn through when trying to weld.
I don't think you'll find any RTV that will stand up to that heat. If JB Weld for metal won't work I don't know what will.

How hot does an exhaust get?
I know that the gases can reach 1200 F but what is the average surface temperature of the tail pipe? Will JB weld seal a crack in the welding or will it just melt away? I need sources to help me out...Thanks!
JB weld will not work, as it is an epoxy and will not stand high exaust temperatures. over 400F. Average exhaust temps can be twice this. They do make exhaust system sealers to will TEMPORALLY SEAL, but in my experience it is best to just replace the pipe once they start to go.
ok, so i have a arctic cat 440, when ever i hold the gas in one position for about 30 seconds, i lose power and have to feather the gas to continue riding, then again sometimes this wont bother me for a good 15 minutes of riding. what may cause this?
check the air cleaner, my 4- wheeler did that then i cleaned it and now it runs like a top.
Primer Green Does green primer work well for those of you who use it? ( to cover up redness)?
I just got myself the Pur Minerals Green primer and the Starter Kit that included the 4 in one mineral powder and I'm dissapointed.
The green primer , which i decided to take my chances on and ordered online, instantly dries out my face even though I moisturize it and I still have that chalky look with a weird hue. I mean my face is not quite red after I put on the primer but it's just a very strange color even after I dust on the Powder.
Is there anything out there that doesn't make you look bruised or give you a greenish cast ? I ordered them online and now I can't return it so I'm really dissapointed.
I had given up on green concealers but because this particular one got a lot of rave reviews I decided to try it. Of course now I wish I hadn't.
smashbox has a green version of its photo finish primer. but i've heard that the green doesn't really do anything to camoflauge redness
