Vintage Great Shape Can I convert a vintage Singer machine to run electric?
I recently inherited a beautiful treadle operated Singer sewing machine. Although it isn't exactly in working order, it is in great shape- absolutely gorgeous. I have had a basic Brother machine for the past 10 years, nothing fancy, that I use for all of my sewing. However, it is not that great for sewing through denim and multiple layers of heavy fabrics, so I've been looking to buy a new machine. I've been doing some research this week on more heavy duty machines, and mostly everything I read says older machines are the way to go. So, I'm wondering if it would be possible to convert my vintage Singer? I would love to be able to put it to use! I just looked up the serial number, and the model is from 1916-1918 (I think). Serial number: G6271161
Would this be possible to convert? Or should I just buy something new?
PLEASE do not modify the machine in any way shape or form!!!!! First the machine my be worth allot of money as an antique second if you have it repaired and the wood work cleaned up you have a new piece of furniture, for the amount of jeans that you would sew would it be worth it. Send the numbers into Singer see what they say about the machine and from there you decide.

You could always just make the shirt. Then you can put any design you want on it.

Orange Graphic Should I get Viking: Battle for Asgard and/or The Orange Box? If so, which console, PS3 or 360? (Graphic Wise)
I been on debating on these two games because everyone says Viking sucks but I think it looks good, and I dont care for online play so I dont care for Team Fortress 2. I just got a PS3 so the four games on the Orange Box would be helpful.
