Parts Old Stock What is difference from the new Mossbergs 500 from the old ones, pre 2009?
I know they are different in some ways but I don't know what exactly they are. I'll be picking up their new Turkey 500 soon with the ported barrel, wood forearm and stock but I'll want to place a different barrel and mag tube on it later. Will I still be able to do this with the older barrels and mag tubes on this new model though? Also what after market parts will not fit it as well? Such as stocks, heat guards, grips and ect. Thanks.
No real diffs. Sometimes they change the design of the wood, most times not. Shotguns aren't like cars where they change every year. If it sells, it gets produced until it stops selling. The current 500A is pretty much identical to the 500A from 1980 except the forearm slide tube is an inch shorter. Well, that does bring up one point....Mossberg has produced some 500 synthetic models recently with one piece Maverick forearms instead of the standard steel slide action tube forearm. If you ever plan to change the forearm on your gun, be SURE to get one of the models with the old steel tube. If you get a Mav-type one piece, you'll have to buy a new forearm slide action tube before you can add an aftermarket forearm to your gun. That's ONLY on some synthetics, though. If yours is wood, yours is good. All the woods, by design, have steel tubes. Other than that, all aftermarket parts fit. All barrels and mag tubes as well.

I need to put a '68 chevy 327 in a '87 Olds cutlass, will the chevy mount up to the THM200 tranny? any ideas?
the '87 olds g-body has a 307, I read an article that some THM200's accept all GM including chevy and some don't include chevy? I'm gutting the engine bay and dont have A/C or emission junk, just wanna run old fashion non computer muscle, is my only bet a TH350 or 400? will I need a different length driveshaft if I have to change the tranny? Anyone out there that has done a conversion like this from olds stock parts to chevy, please give me some pointers or steer me in the right direction, the roads are warming up!!!
Ok lets sort this out for you bud.
Is it the th-200 3 speed auto, or the 200 4r 4 speed (over drive) auto.
If it's the th-200 you don't want to use that junk anyway, it's very weak and the 327 will kill it in short order.
Th-200 is very close to the lenght of a short tail shaft th-350. So your driveshaft and all will work if you swap in a th-350 with 6" tail (short shaft, car trans)
The 200 4r 4 speed auto is a pretty good trans, in fact stronger than the 700r4

Most people who produce stickers can make very large things like the fox head if you ask for them. I have just had some done about 1metre x 1 metre to go on the side of my sons van. I don't know just where in the world you are so you should look up companies in your country that produce stickers.
