Kit Pistons can I buy a sportster engine rebuild kit?
Have a 1988 sportster and have low oil pressure and I need to rebuild bottom end with bearings. Is there preferred vendor that sells a complete engine rebuild kit ..bearings, bushings, piston, crank pins, rods...etc.. What would you suggest. Do I have to buy the parts individually or what?
Email me trhough my profile with more info on your diagnosis of low oil pressure. A COMPLETE engine rebuild including rod and crank bearings is NOT something the average person can do at home, it REQUIRES re-trueing (and for PROPER procedure, rebalancing) the flywheels. Bottom-end rebuilds are rarely needed, the tope-end must first come off and rods checked for up & down play, side-play and end-play, THIS will tell you if you need to rebuild the bottom end....which is EXPENSIVE...in all honesty, it will cost as much if not more than the bike is worth....it is easier and cheaper to replace the crank assy, not rebuild it.
Before you do anything, like I mentioned above, email me with more detailed info, I can then better help and guide you in the right direction.
Which snowmobile would win in a race an Arctic Cat or a Polarus?
There are several factors to determine this.
First of all, the vehicle itself. Those snowmobiles have many different types, just like cars, and their top speeds and handling will definitely vary.
Secondly, the condition of the snowmobile. How well is it taken care of, and how old is it? Is it completely filled up with fuel (and with the highest-quality fuel?)
Thirdly, the driver himself (or herself). His/her skill will affect how well he or she can handle the vehicle. Additionally, his or her familiarity with the snowmobile will give him or her an advantage.
i will be purchasing a new quad and was wondering your opinion on which is better. i like to do mudding and a bit of racing around. i am also an adventurous rider. do you know from experience which is faster? which handles better in mud (stock)? which is more durable?

You might be able to tell the model of the carb on the bike from numbers stamped into the main body of the carb. You may have to take the carb off to find the numbers.
