Used Yamaha Snowmobiles What is a good beginner motorcycle for a 16 year old?
I finally convinced my mom to let me get a motorcycle, but now I'm not sure what kind to get. I've heard a ton of different opinions, some say go with a small bike and others say go with a bigger/faster bike because I'll get bored of a small bike, so I really am not sure what is best. I've looked up some info about the Kawasaki Ninja 250r and it looks good but I've heard it gets boring really fast. I've also looked at the Yamaha R6 and it looks amazing but I've heard it has too much power for a 16 year old. I am 6'0 tall 170lbs so I'm not a small guy, I play football so I'm lifting a lot so I know I'm not a weak little kid. I used to have a dirt bike a few years back and also a snowmobile and I have ridden a lot of quads so I'm somewhat used to it.
Please don't say I'm to young and I'll just get hurt, I'm not an irresponsible person and my mom trusts me and knows I have experience on dirt bikes, snowmobiles, etc.
coming on here and asking shows your not all that irresponsible so good job on that. Ya get the 250 and learn to deal with other cars on the road. All dirtbikes teaches you how to do is clutch, gas, and some obstacle avoidance and thats about all the carries over into street riding.
Used Yamaha Snowmobiles Should i buy these Snowmobiles!!!?
My friend used to ride a mid 90s yamaha snowmobile. While at one point the drive train dropped out an they tried to fix it with another snowmobile of the same model that also wasn't working the best. should i but both of these for 100$$.
i want to say they are 94 ventures 500cc and i dont know the part of the drive that is broken i havent had the best look at them. they have been sitting for a little less than a year. All that i know is the drive shaft mysteriously dropped out one day last winter
What part of the drive broke? And what sled is it? Would need a bit more info.
Used Yamaha Snowmobiles Can you clean an ATV drive belt with anything? I have one that has grease on it.?
It is a 2000 Yamaha Grizzly 600 with automatic transmission. It uses a kevlar belt like a snowmobile and I wondered if you could use a cleaner to get the grease off of it. I also assume that the grease is in the belt too so I would need something to remove the grease from the belt. Thanks!
use a can of brake cleaner,it wont leave any kind of residue.
