Hot Fun Any Fun things to do with a small dog in hot weather?
I just got a Pomeranian puppy three weeks ago. I take her for as many walks as I can, but she's tearing the house apart. She got all muddy in the garden again today. It's too hot to take her for walks. Any fun activities? Please be nice!
PS - I don't think she likes water.
You could get some of her favorite toys and freeze them in ice, the dog can then lick the ice. This will help the dog stay cool, keep hydrated, and when she gets to her toy she will be excited and rewarded.
I purchase kiddie pools for my dogs, two gsd's and a yorkie, one of the gsd's generally hates water, but even she will use the pools on hot days.
Walk your dog in early morning or a liitle later at night when it is cooler.

Air Filter How do change an air filter element on an 1974 850cc Norton?
The air filter front plate on this bike has some curious plumbing on the inside which does not allow it to slide away from the air filter. They must be removed as one. The bike is original. Replacing is a nightmare because the air hoses must be seated. I have run out of patience! Some one know.
I own a 74 850, although, as soon as I bought it I changed it to a K&N dual inlet airfilter, and since have converted to a single Amal carb with a foam sock type filter. However, I did install the stock unit once. I believe most of the difficulty is because the rubber air tubes get stiff with age (just like me). Pull the rubber tubes from the front plate and assemble the airbox. Boil a pan of water and throw the air tubes in for a few minutes this will make them soft and pliable for a short time so you have to work quickly to get them in. I think thats how I did it, but, I must admit its been a number of years.

I have an older HP pavilion zv5000.
Go to settings/control panel/system/device manager
and delete the device and shut down. Reboot
and you should get the message "new device found" see
if windows can install it from the windows files.
If it is not there you will have to download the driver and install it manually.
