Yamaha Phazer Snowmobile 86 or 89 yamaha phazer top end rebuild help?
i am going to be putting new head gaskets and piston rings on an 86 or 89 yamaha phazer snowmobile and i need to know the tension to tighten the head bolts so its not too tight and not too loose.
Not knowing what size your engine is I can't help you other than to suggest you look online for torque specs. Shouldn't be that hard to find. Also there is a tightening sequence that should be followed.
Hi, I have a 1984 Yamaha Phazer SE, its sat for 1 year and the carbs are all messed up. I've never cleaned carbs before or seen it done, so i need instructions, diagrams, opions, tips, anything! Thanx tons
just pull em off and get a can of carb cleaner spray , take em apart and spray in every hole u can find and get all the debri off. might be a good idea to spray off the outside first so it is easy to avoid getting the crap thats on the outside on the inside.
Yamaha Phazer Snowmobile Snowmobile question: Yamaha Phazer II doesn't want to go into "neutral" after riding for a while.
I'll be riding for a while and go to stop and it tries to keep going. Hit the kill switch and try to retry and the starter tries to turn the track. Is it some kind of clutch problem?
My friend had that happen on his phazer too. It wasn't that big of deal for a mechanic to fix. It's basically all the bearing are bad and it just needs to be fixed so that the clutch will disengage. Or it just needs a good greasing to help the clutch move.

Yamaha Phazer Snowmobile snowmobile yamaha phazer 2 wont run right?
its boggish and will only go upto 40-45mph, it seems like its only running on one cylinder but both plugs have spark, it sat for a year but i put new gas, isoprople and seafoam in it. please help
check the compression... mabye a fuel issue like a bent needle valve or clogged main jet. letting it sit with gas in the carb is bad. ethanol pulls water out of the air and gas gels up in the carburetor. go onto Hardcoresledder and they have your anser or if all else fails buy a cat
